Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz signed Executive Order 13B on Friday, August 6 requiring staff in long-term care facilities (as well as anyone coming into a facility from an outside agency to care for a resident) to receive at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine no later than September 7, 2021.

This executive order also applies to any caregiver of a Home Care Agency, such as Companions & Homemakers, that is providing care to a client in a long-term care facility (such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities).

We are writing to share some important information about the coronavirus and some recommendations and temporary directives being put in place effective immediately that may affect the care we provide to you.
