COVID-19 Update for Clients and Caregivers

The safety and well-being of our clients and caregivers are at the very top of our concerns during these challenging times.

VACCINE REQUIREMENT FOR CAREGIVERS IN FACILITIES – Executive Order 13B from Lt. Governor Bysiewicz

Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz signed Executive Order 13B on Friday, August 6 requiring staff in long-term care facilities (as well as anyone coming into a facility from an outside agency to care for a resident) to receive at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine no later than September 7, 2021.

This executive order also applies to any caregiver of a Home Care Agency, such as Companions & Homemakers, that is providing care to a client in a long-term care facility (such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities).

For any questions concerning this new directive, please call the Companions & Homemakers COVID hotline at 800-348-4663 extension 3333, or reach out to your Branch Manager.

We are writing to share some important information about the coronavirus and some recommendations and temporary directives being put in place effective immediately that may affect the care we provide to you.
