Clear the Shelters
Companions & Homemakers is proud to sponsor the Clear the Shelters nationwide pet adoption drive.
Founded in 1990, Companions & Homemakers is a privately owned company, providing in-home care to the elderly, with the mission of helping individuals preserve their dignity through independence at home. Often times, this can be achieved with just a little extra assistance from a companion, where the bond quickly becomes that of a close friend or member of the family.
A Natural Pairing
The Clear the Shelters campaign was a natural pairing for Companions & Homemakers, as pets often make the ultimate companions, and are treated as members of the family. We so often see with our clients the joy that a pet brings into their lives, and by being able to remain within their own home, are then able to maintain that bond with their beloved pet.
The company’s founder, Linda Grigerek, is an avid pet lover herself, and an advocate for pet rescue, with her own three dogs, Sammie, Gracie and Alfie, having been adopted from shelters.
