Preserving Dignity Through Independence at Home

2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Dust Off Your Walking Shoes, and Help us Put our “Best Feet Forward” in Support of the Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Companions & Homemakers has proudly supported the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s for many years.  The event, which is held in over 600 communities across the nation, is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Alzheimer’s Disease affects over 5 million Americans and their families, including a number of the valued clients we serve every day.  The money raised by our walk teams remains local, and directly supports the efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association of Connecticut.

This year, we are fielding walk teams for six walks around the state, and we hope you’ll join us for this incredibly fun and very worthy event.  C&H will present prizes for the team who raises the most money, the team with the most walk participants, and more!

Walk dates, times and locations are below.  The walks are open to all C&H employees, clients and their families (including kids!).  You can walk in one or more of the walks listed below. Everyone who walks with C&H will be provided with a team t-shirt and other prizes, and all walkers will enjoy a company-sponsored lunch at a nearby restaurant after the walk.

If you are interested in participating, please contact our Walk chairperson Dana Nobert.
